At the start of a new riding season, everyone is anxious to hit the open road.  But before you blast off for that first ride: 1) Drain last year's gas and replace it with fresh fuel before starting the bike for the first time.  2) Check your battery to ensure you have plenty of cranking power and a hot spark.  3) Install new plugs. 4) Carefully inspect the seals on the front forks for any seepage.  Even a small amount of fork oil leakage could affect your suspension's performance.  If you see any seepage, make an appointment to have a technician take a closer look.  5)  Have a technician check for play in the steering head bearing.  6) Check your clutch and throttle cables for smoother operation;  if there is any jerking or sticking, have a technician lubricate or replace the offending cable.  7)  Last, but not least, make sure your headlight, taillight, brake light, turn signals and instrument-cluster lights are operating.

SKIRTS TO WRENCHES is a social gathering designed to give potential female riders exposure to the Harley-Davidson® motorcycling experience. We would like to foster confidence in women and encourage them to become part of the Harley-Davidson® family. Please help us spread the word to potential female riders. This Girls' Night Out will feature interactive learning sessions, refreshments, and an opportunity to meet other women who are interested in riding.

Two Community Service & Leadership $500 scholarships will be awarded in May to promote student service, leadership and civic engagement. Selection will be based on academic and co-curricular achievements, as well as character, citizenship, and leadership within the community. Deadline for application submissions is April 30, 2008.
